Terms of use

1. About these terms

These terms cover the investinu.com.au website and the Fieldbook app, on the web and on iPhone and iPad. Fieldbook by Investinu is run by Lehg Up Consulting, trading as Investinu (ABN 52 637 395 576) ("we", "us"). By using the website or the app, you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

A parent or carer creates the family account and is the account owner. The account owner is responsible for the account, for who they invite, and for keeping their sign-in details safe.

Children use Fieldbook through the family account in kid mode: a grown-up signs in on the device, and each child taps their own name. If you set a family PIN, only grown-ups can leave kid mode. Children don't have their own accounts or passwords.

You can invite a tutor or another grown-up and choose which children they can see and for how long. You're responsible for who you invite.

3. Early access and founding families

Joining the early-access list is free and doesn't commit you to anything. Sign-up opens to families a few at a time, and we'll email you when your place is ready.

The first 300 families to join the list by 11:59 pm Brisbane time on 31 January 2027 each hold a reserved founding place. We'll email each founding family an invite, and the place is held for 30 days after we send it; places that aren't claimed in time pass to the next family on the list, in sign-up order. A founding family that subscribes on the website pays A$99 a year or A$9.90 a month, for every child in the family, and keeps that price for as long as its plan continues without a break, including when it switches between yearly and monthly. If the plan is cancelled or lapses, the founding price ends. The founding offer is only available when you subscribe on the website.

4. Plans and prices

Fieldbook has one family plan, paid yearly or monthly. Each price is per family and covers every child. Prices are in Australian dollars. For Australian families they include GST.

Founding and launch prices stay the same for as long as your plan continues without a break, including when you switch between yearly and monthly.

When you subscribe on the website, payments are taken by our payment provider, Stripe. Card details go to Stripe; we never see or store them. We send a tax invoice for every payment.

5. Free trial

Your free trial lasts 14 days, and nothing is charged before then. When you subscribe on the website, you add a card at the start. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged your plan's price when the trial ends, and again at the start of each billing period after that, until you cancel. We email you before the trial ends. If you cancel during the trial, you're not charged.

6. Renewal and cancelling

Your plan renews automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel. We email you before a yearly plan renews.

You can cancel at any time in Family settings, Billing: choose Cancel plan, or Manage billing. It takes a moment and needs no phone call or email. Your plan then runs to the end of the period you've paid for, and isn't renewed. If you cancel during a free trial, you're not charged.

7. Buying in the app on iPhone or iPad

8. Failed payments

If a payment fails, you keep full use of the app for 14 days while it's retried and you update your payment details. After that, your family's account becomes read-only until payment is made.

9. When a plan ends

When your plan ends, whether you cancel or it lapses, your family's account stays read-only for 90 days, so you can see and download everything. Then your family's data is permanently deleted, and we email you beforehand. Your family's data is important: we want to give you enough time to save it before we remove it from our systems, for the benefit of your privacy and security.

10. Your family's information

What you and your children add to Fieldbook, such as notes, photos and work, stays yours. You give us permission to store it and process it only to run Fieldbook for your family. The account owner can download your family's information or delete the account at any time. Our privacy policy explains how we handle it.

11. Learning content and reports

Fieldbook's activities are written to the Australian Curriculum, and we describe them as accurately as we can. Activities may change as we improve them.

Fieldbook can help you prepare a home education report, but you decide what goes in it and you submit it yourself. Nothing in Fieldbook or on the website is legal advice about home education registration or reporting. Check your state's requirements with your home education authority.

12. Using Fieldbook properly

Please don't misuse the website or the app: for example, by trying to break their security, sending spam, accessing another family's information, or copying Fieldbook or its content to run elsewhere. We may suspend an account that does.

13. Our content

Fieldbook's activities, text, images and logos belong to us or are used with permission. You can use them for your own family's learning. Please ask before sharing them more widely. You can share links to our website.

14. Changes to Fieldbook

We're improving Fieldbook all the time, so features may change. If a change takes away something important you've paid for, we'll tell you, and you can cancel.

15. Your consumer rights and our liability

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees. Otherwise, we provide the website and the app as they are, and, to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and we'll show the date of the latest version at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell account owners by email before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
